We’re so excited that you’re joining KERA Kids for our Summer Learning Challenge! Children and families can earn points and receive special KERA and PBS gifts and prizes for completing summer activities.

JULY ACTIVITY BOOKLET: Download this month’s fun booklet featuring your favorite PBS KIDS characters.

READING CHART: Did you run out of room on your reading chart last month? Print another chart if so. We encourage you to visit your local library to stock up on this month’s reading. Any book counts, but we’ve included suggestions below in the Calendar Resources section.

When you’re finished

You must earn at least 50 points to complete the Summer Learning Challenge.

When your family has completed the checklist, sign the first page and email a picture of it before Aug. 14, 2017, to engage@kera.org or mail a copy to:

Each child will receive a special KERA Kids Prize Pack after we receive your completed checklist and photos of your Summer of Adventure!

Summer Reading Challenge checklist (this is what you’ll fill out and send to us at the end of the summer)

» Download these additional materials for an even more adventurous summer of learning:

• Check out the super summer fun book (in English or en Español) and join WordGirl for an adventurous summer filled with fun activities.

• Visit your local library and check out a few books for summer reading. Here’s an all-ages summer reading list to help you get started.

• Visually track the books you’ve read! In addition to logging your reading on the summer reading chart, create a sunshiny DIY reading log for your wall.
