Climate Change, Science and Democracy

Hour 2: What has the politicization of science done to discussions of important issues like climate change and biotechnology? We’ll spend this hour with Mark Brown, Associate Professor of Government at California State University in Sacramento and author of “Science in Democracy: Expertise, Institutions, and Representation” (The MIT Press, 2009). Brown will deliver the lecture “Is Climate Change Good for Democracy?” at the UTD Center for Values in Medicine, Science and Technology this evening.
