Joe William Trotter, Jr., director of the Center for Africanamerican Urban Studies and the Economy at Carnegie Mellon University, joins host Krys Boyd to trace the history of black employment, which he writes about in “Workers on Arrival: Black Labor in the Making of America” (University of California Press).
